Over growing greenery

A day centred around preparation for the first trip of the year in Ruby the motorhome. I listened to some episodes of Tom Rosenthals , “stranger on a bench” podcast , some episode of the Newsagent’s and then Desert Island discs with the guest Stephen Mangan . It felt quite luxurious to have the time . Meanwhile the crockpot cooked a chickpea and mushroom curry to take with us on our trip.
The photo is off ivy clad trees that I walk past on my way to the park . They grow up a small sloped area on the other side of the river that runs along the opposite side of our street . There is no flood risk as the river is well contained.
My eye was caught by the trees as my thoughts are full of images from the book I’m reading about Temperate rainforests. I like the way the ivy is stringing itself from tree to tree creating arches through which to view the woods . I try not to see all the litter that has been lobbed over the iron railings , such a shame . Hopefully, the space provides a haven for wild life who won’t notice the unsightly mess.

I know that only some of you will be able to access BBC radio 4 , do apologies to those who can’t , it is likely to be very funny and we all need some cheer to brighten up these unsettling times.
