The Beach at Formby .

We were lucky with the weather , mild and dry with an odd glimpse of sunshine.
Formby is just down the road from the campsite so we took ourselves there and walked over 10,000 steps along the golden, sandy beach . It was especially lovely to be there as today is my mum’s birthday date and we used to come here for a day out when she and my dad came to stay.
On the way back we stopped off at the RSPB reserve on the Ribble estuary and saw several great white egrets ( a first for us). NCis looking it up and as they had tufts on their heads he suggests that they might have been Great white Heron !!
We will return in the morning for some more ambling on the reserve in the hope of seeing some more .
