Daphne and Doris

This morning we took my Mother to the audiologist for a new pair of hearing aids, as she had managed to lose both of her last pair. It's rather  expensive, being private, so I hope she won't lose these. I have asked the staff at the home to supervise her  putting them in and taking them out, and got her agreement she will accept their offers of help. 
On our journey, I asked her if she had received any Valentine's cards today.After  a pause she  said she had  received one! I asked if she knew who it was from, and she said she thought she did, but didn't elaborate. I asked if she had sent any, and no, she hadn't, and that was the end of the discussion.All rather enigmatic....    I suspect she's having me on, but I can't be sure ; she can be quite inscrutable.

So, from Doris to Daphne, this lovely Daphne bholua "Jacqueline Postill"  is now blooming beautifully in my garden. The flowers have a gorgeous scent.
