Lunch

For St Valentine’s Day my wife and I went out for lunch. We went not down but to The Rabbit Hole is in Marchmont which has been operating for nearly a decade. I’d heard good reports about it. Indeed on a couple of occasions when I have tried to book it has been full.

So I was pleased to get a table the other day. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the meal. I had rabbit saddle for my main and my wife had cod. Whether she had been influenced by fishmonger a few doors down I’m not sure.

Looking at the teeth in the photo it made me think about the kayaker who was swallowed and spat out by the whale. Good thing its teeth were not like them.

Being much less used to eating a lot at lunchtime I had an afternoon nap instead of writing up the minutes from last night’s meeting. Thank you St Valentine.
