Gibberish

This is Marie. We meet her at the chiringuito sometimes at Breakfast Club.

She is a Gibraltarian and likes to talk.

And like so many Gibraltarians, her sentences are half Spanish and half English, which can make it hard to keep up.

We call that Gibberish! 

The Spanish call it Llanito, based on Andalusian Spanish, with English, Berber and even Arabic thrown into the mix.

In other news, I have spent the afternoon preparing dinner for J to celebrate St. Valentine's Day. So far so good, so let's hope it's a success.
