Pastel de Nata

Out early this morning for a six and a half mile run with Wol, so by lunchtime I was ready for something substantial to eat and I took a stroll down to the Plough Bakery. 

In addition to my actual lunch, I bought a couple of these beauties for me and Mum to have later on.

And in the evening I went out for a couple of beers at The Plough with my old chum, Bill, where we were joined a little later on by Wol. 

Bill was originally a friend of my brother, but in our late teens we'd often be part of a gang that went up to record fairs together on a Sunday. When I came back from university, and while Wol was still away, Bill became one of my closest friends. 

We had a great evening together, and one of the sliver linings of the current situation has been things like seeing him and running with my brother.
