On a Saturday lunchtime. One by the sea in Ramsgate (The Belle Vue) and the other in Canterbury city centre (The Lady Luck). The latter has a superb vegan menu and all its desserts are vegan friendly.

Advertising Gin and Toilet - sorry Gin and Tonic - in the men’s loo seems to be a dubious marketing strategy but I enjoyed a couple of very fine beers courtesy of Shepherd Neame. And later, a vegan mushroom pie with mash and peas. And maybe a pudding …

Strider was flat viewing in Ramsgate and has found himself a rather lovely little basement pad that will do him whilst he studies for his masters. So mission accomplished. TSM did four hours of heroic driving, dealing with a confused satnav, rain, dark, and bad drivers.
