Florine- a familiar figure

Florine’s cheerful smile always greets us as she stands outside the M&S supermarket in Dunblane. She is always well wrapped up against the challenging Scottish weather.

Since Covid Big Issue vendors have taken  digital payments. But some, like Florine, always keep a small bag of change for those who still carry real money.

Here’s a contribution to Silly Saturday

 Ode 2 a spell chequer

Eye halve a spelling checker
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea

Eye strike a quay and type a word
And weight for it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me straight a weigh

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
It is rare lea ever wrong

I have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew

Sauce unknown
