It was all sew easy

Mum and Dad came round after lunch and we filled our individual shopping trolleys at the supermarket. I don't really want to risk cycling just yet, certainly not upright cycling anyway, since my ribs are still tender here and there. RIP my fitness though.

Back home Dad and I moved some motorbikery around in the garage, despairing a bit at the work to do with Madame Fidra.

I came back in and put the kettle on. We had a relaxed putting up of feet and listened to Journey to the Centre of the Earth since Mum and Dad hadn't heard it. I think they even liked some of it!

After a hearty tea Mum and I fiddled with my sewing machine. I'd not used it since last March when it was breaking threads left, right and centre. I wanted to see if different thread would make it perform better, and if the machine was up to sewing through layers of webbing and fire hose. Yes, I know, but there is method in my madness. The old machine chomped through three layers no problem at all.
