Cash & Carry

This is something I know a little about because my grandfather’s brother Jack wrote a play about a country storekeeper (he was a country storekeeper) who went broke in the Great Depression when customers couldn’t pay their monthly accounts. Cash & Carry stores were a new concept then, and cheaper, but people had to pay cash and carry their purchases with them rather than have them delivered.

Thanks for hosting Marlieske.
