A SIGN OF SPRING

Had another quiet day at home.  The weather was dark, dismal and cold ... but at least it was dry.  I did go into the back garden to put some bird food out and nabbed my blip shot while I was out there.

The new leaves are on the fallen lilac tree .  It has lots of tiny new branches and leaves. Obviously some of the roots are still in the ground.  The tree fell over months ago and I was going to contact someone get to chop it up and remove it but my brother C said he would do it.... with the help of his friend P who owns a chain saw.  Both of them are keen to have the wood.  My brother wants some to make things and his friend wants some for her log burner.  We have had several possible dates for them to come which have been cancelled for various reasons - including the weather.  The next possible date is Friday coming so hopefully nothing will get in the way this time and I can get rid of the tree for good.

I had some eggs to use up so I made some mini quiche muffins,yhis afternoon.  Very tasty ... and syn free.
