Settlers gallery
Last day in Dunedin. Packed up ready for off but a few jobs to do in town first. Money exchange, charity shops (for purchase of items for camping!), coffee, chat with Em and a look round the Settlers Museum. We didn’t really have time to do justice to the museum which was fascinating. The portraits room was filled with family pictures of the early settlers from the 1800’s. I could have spent hours looking at them all. But, we were heading south and waved goodbye to Dunedin and all the Scottish road names.
Our objective first was Gore - only a brief stop. This is where our son is living. And then on to our next Home Exchange house in Invercargill. Another great house, equipped with hot tub and electric bikes for us to use!
Our son arrived soon after us and we enjoyed a bbq out in the courtyard garden.
