On the train
You're in the right place. IIt was once a slogan of the Dutch Railways. It could still be now. On a day like this.
We went to the cycling and walking fair in the Jaarbeurshallen in Utrecht. These are practically next to Utrecht Central Station.
The train was crowded on the way there. Many people who spoke far too loudly. On the way back we were in a silent compartment, where you are expected to talk little to nothing. Well, maybe whisper every now and then when necessary. I liked that better.
It was fun at the fair. My swimming friends who cycled around the world were there. They developed a route around the province of Limburg and were co-manning the stand for the various provincial routes. Of course I bought their booklet and the one for the route around the province of Overijssel, because we want to cycle the latter in May. At another stand Bert met a classmate from half a century ago. He hadn't been seen in all that time and was only recognizable by the name tag he had pinned on. What are the odds.
We also went to a couple of lectures, but didn't learn much from them. Not what we already knew, that is.
All in all we had a nice, relaxing day. Maybe we should do something like this more often. The creative fair, or so. :-)
