Brown Honeyeater

I've strayed from the Topic today, I did take a blip of my desk, but having looked at the shot and this one i took on Milo's walk this morning it sort of won out (Apologies to DDW)
Its still not a good shot, but I'm getting close! these are very fast swooping little birds, and I will get a good shot one of these days!
He sat singing his little heart out, probably telling his mates to come and enjoy a feast on the Red Flame Trees nectar! (Or more than likely calling for A mate)
He is a medium sized bird (as small as a sparrow) he has a long curved black bill, olive brown in colour, with a yellow tuft just behind his eye, he is pretty widespread over Australia East to West North to South, although scarcer to the South East and Tasmania, i don't think have any?
He is quite common in our gardens and forages in dense foliage feeding on Nectar and small insects.
this certainly made a better subject, than my desk, trust me, it will also remind me how hard I nave been trying to capture a shot of this little bird. Maybe it can go down as "my work space". :-)
