It's another day 
on the home front with my feet
dictating the plan...

I forgot that today is a holiday both here in Arizona/USA and at home in British Columbia/Candad. Here it's President's Day....enough said on that topic! At home, it's Family Day with some provinces opting for alternative names for it. In general, government offices, banks, and schools will be closed. 

I was late getting up and later making my coffee. I plan to shuffle around my sewing machine in pajamas and socks all day.... my cranky feet aren't up to much at the moment. Putting shoes on is a big effort so I'm staying home. 

I popped out the backdoor to see what was going on in my quiet neighbourhood. We are in a warming trend with high clouds and lots of contrails in the blue when I look up. 

I sat in my chair with my camera at the ready. I waited for the first bird to enter my line of vision. The mockingbird landed on the ocotillo on the street behind me. I watched it pose with all those nasty spines about! Still no singing. I couldn't seem to lure it closer even though I am wearing my stunning purple pajamas. 

I've finished the second teapot block. I will begin on another today. So, three down and three to go! 

I'm home and staying put.
