Courage

We live not far from the village of Dunscore. It was in one of the local farms that Jane Haining was born in 1897.  She is reputed to be the only Scot killed by the Nazis in Auschwitz and her story can be read on the memorial which sits just outside Dunscore church.
Her courage in facing up to the horrors of that time is a genuine source of inspiration and helps many deal with some of the current challenges facing the world.
