Road Trip to Jökulsárlón

We decided to do the ridiculously long trip to Jökulsárlón in one day. It is 760km back and forth, which is not that much in other countries, but here one can only drive 90km/h so it takes some time. We had a delicious lunch in Hvolsvöllur.

Lida had decided long ago to take a photo of the car-wreck-monument which advertises the number of car crash fatalities of the year. It has been six for the longest time, but when we came back in the evening it had been updated to eight. It was sad, especially since we passed the accident site a few hundred kilometers previously.
