Hippodrome lake

It's still soggy in places after the flood, but it looks normal again. Today's blip is from the afternoon walk, it was a bit dark on the morning walk and not very exciting. The morning is more interesting for birds around the lake - recently some cormorants or shags have started to visit, along with the usual gulls and resident moorhens. We also often get a heron perched on the island, but I'd need long lens to get a decent picture, especially as it's a bit soggy at the moment and I need to stand a fair distance away...
