Winter tree

Another winter tree. This one is it at the Hippodrome.

Odd sort of work week. The next project has been approved, so I've got plenty to do for the next few months. Work is good, while I'd dearly love to retire, I can't quite yet and be financially secure, so I need fresh work coming through the door.

After work I let me work computer do a Windows 11 update. I walked the dog, came home, had dinner, watched TV and it was still only 35% done... We learnt this week that we won't be automatically getting fibre, so we're stuck on ancient ADSL until 2030 when it's turned off. Apparently if we want fibre we formally request it and then wait to see what happens. My wife made the request this week and we shall see if Orange can be bothered to do anything - our ISP is SFR so we're at the mercy of a company that isn't our provider... If we had fibre the upgrade may be a tad quicker...!
