Home for the next few days

"Do you want a garden view or an ensuite?" the question went when I made this booking quite some time ago in the increasingly desperate search for somewhere for a few days quiet retreat, where the ridiculously limited dates of those of us who are employed both in education and on organ benches could be accommodated. Add in accessibility by public transport... anyway, nine months after trying to sort something for the October Half Term, I'm finally here.

I promptly opted for the ensuite. It also involves two flights of stairs which hold no terrors for me. I'm very glad I did, as I do have a splendidly spacious room and no one else on this floor. There is actually a very nice view through the window in the darkened space, and tomorrow, I will show you the splendid view of the solar panels from the other window!!
