Windows and Doors

These cottages can be found in South Street, Havant. I like their brickwork, windows and brightly coloured doors. The street would once have been a busy thoroughfare linking the town with the coast at Langstone and Hayling Island. The building on the end with the blue plaque was once a malt house - where barley was converted to malt for use in brewing - an important industry in the town through the 1800s and until WW1.

It’s been another chilly day but one filled with sunshine. I’ve laid more wood chipping down at the allotment and cut out the material for the next blanket I’ll make.
