The Other Side

Tried to catch up on a few blips this morning and was tempted to simply remain in bed for the day.

Is anyone else finding the mornings really hard at the moment?!

Fortunately, Mikhail Glinka's Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila (more commonly known as the theme to Cabin Pressure) came over the digital airwaves from Classic FM and inspired me to get up and go at another day.

I spent a couple of hours in a largely empty office and then took a wander out at lunchtime and took this one of the Lune Aqueduct from the other side.

Returning home for a call mid-afternoon, the street on which I live was eerily quiet! There was no one around at all, but it was lovely to be able to hear so much birdsong around.

I read that it has been 9 years today since the Blipfoto community purchased the website. Like so many of us, I am so glad that they did. It is easily the nicest place on the internet, a proud, paid-up membership of which has (and continues to do so) helped me through some difficult times.
