Park Visitors

Thus far, you might think I have had this magnificent landscape to myself. After all, you've seen very few people in the pix.

You would be wrong.

Three million people visit Rocky Mountain National Park each year. In July, nearly 5,000 people a day travel to the Alpine Visitor Center to enjoy the scenery.

The Alpine Visitor Center, which is above treeline, is the building on the left side of the picture. The big logs on the rooftop act as a second roof to hold up the snow. Now, of course, you don't see any snow. Back in May, the snow covered the roof. It was an awesome sight.
