Seeing Stars
Sometimes you have to do what a girl’s got to do and so this morning I ventured into the Royal Bank of Scotland branch in St Andrew Square to organise my shekels to greater advantage. I had no appointment and went in on the off chance that someone would see me, which they did but not before I had blipped the ceiling of their grand hall.
I confess to having little interest in money other than having enough of it to use and have managed to steer clear of having to deal with ISAs and such like. That’s where having a husband came in useful. I now realise this was a very outdated dependence , hence my new active involvement. I rolled out into Princes Street an hour later a little more worldly wise.
I had hoped that the promised temperature rise might have taken place today, but it’s still just as cold as ever. The sun came out at 2 o’clock about the same time as Eco Dad arrived with honey from his bees and money for 2 of my FairIsle bonnets that he had sold. In exchange he went away with that surplus to requirement garden hose and a floor bicycle pump. There was no mention of his joining the ladies at the beach any time soon. I fear he is running scared.
