Why are GP surgery waiting rooms so depressing?

I had to go for a blood test today. The bright light you can see on the middle lower right of the photo is actually SUNLIGHT! But when I escaped from there the weather had changed to grey with showers.

I now have to wait 2 or 3 days for the test results. I hope I don’t get another late night paramedic visit!
