The afternoon train
A bit of a late night (for us) last night as we were invited to friends' for dinner where we had a lovely meal in good company. Knowing we'd probably be tired we hadn't planned on doing very much today but it got to mid afternoon and I was ready for some fresh air. Of course, I was also blipless at that time.
I had a walk up onto Kelling Heath and headed down to this spot to see the last Holt-bound steam train of the day. It's a bit of a scamble down to get to this vantage point but worth it for the view, albeit the light was starting to go. The last time I took a blip shot from the same place was on New Year's Eve and when I got home I realised I'd lost my lens cap. I had a good look round for it today but of course, I couldn't find it. Not to worry, I got a perfectly good second hand replacement for it for £2 recently.
It's the half term week on the railway so trains are running until Sunday and then there'll be no more regular running until April, so this may not be the last steam blip from me this week.
