Figures in Extinction
I travelled to Manchester and Aviva Studios this evening to see Figures in Extinction, a production by Nederlands Dans Theatre with UK theatre company Complicité. It is in three parts, the third part premiering this evening. The three parts all very different, and all brilliantly choreographed and danced.
It was a packed house, the first of four nights. This is the only UK venue on NDT’s current tour.
I hope Nicholas Serota, chair of the Arts Council, who I noticed standing chatting nearby during the two intervals, enjoyed it.
I have seen NDT and NDT2 in the past, they are terrific. It was apparent tonight from the audience reaction that they have a fan base. The lady sitting next to me had travelled from Norwich to see them.
