Swarkestone Pavilion

We had beautiful sunshine this morning as we prepared to leave our accommodation of the last few nights and head home.

I wrote about this building last Friday.  Our living area was on the first floor, above the loggia.  The kitchen was on the same level inside the right hand tower.

The left hand tower contains the staircase which leads all the way up to the roof top turret and terrace, giving access to the bathroom in the right hand turret. I was very glad  I had no need of a nighttime visit to the bathroom!
