A close work colleague who had been battling cancer received the news today that he was cancer free!

As you might imagine, the team were all over the moon for him. He gave us the update early on, so it was a lovely bright bit of news to receive on a rather grey, wet and windy (yet incredibly mild) morning.

Had a nice catch up with my parents at the drop-off this morning and am feeling much better and stronger mentally today. Lost myself for a bit over the last couple of weeks, but I think I’ve regained some much needed equilibrium today. 

Thanks for bearing with the stream of consciousness ramblings on here. Whilst I find it of great benefit to journal the inner workings of my increasingly dodgy mind, it must be a bit tedious for you the reader, so I shall try to be less of a miserable whatsname and get back to all the good things in my life.

Such as a night with the children this evening - albeit with a brief interlude for some frenetic five-a-side action. 

Day off tomorrow, which means a long weekend!
