Today was a big deal on a few levels. It is the first time I'm going to be driving to the new office, so I would have to find the new car park and negotiate my way inside it, hoping to emerge in the right place. I was so thrilled when it happened. I found an excellent place to park near the building. But first, I had to drop G off at Gulfood. That went much better than anticipated as well. Phew.

When I walked into the office, I found someone had commandeered the desk I had booked, so I had to look for another one. In the end, it worked out for the best, as I found a desk close to where the two guys from Cairo were sitting. They are here for the week, and it was good to meet them in person. Our big meeting with the team in the brand-new, high-tech meeting room went well.

It rained a little today, just as I had to walk out of the building to get some lunch! I organised to take our visitors out to dinner. Meeting them was a challenge, as they came from the area of the exhibition and had a lot of trouble getting a taxi. By the time we met, we'd lost an hour.

We enjoyed a Palestinian meal and a short walk around Al Seef, and then we had a bit of a tour before dropping them off at their hotel. It's cool that so many historic places are so close to home, so we were home by 10:30. I had to go straight to my laptop to edit the pictures that G had taken earlier.
