Paris by Day and Night

Got into our daily pattern of walking Verity to the dance studio then going for breakfast.
Was surprised to see it had rained overnight and the temperature had risen: drastically.
Had to come back to the hotel to take my thermal second skin off.
More walking, l bought a little jacket then we met Verity to take her to lunch.
Over lunch we discussed how  ( unlike her mum and me ) this was Verity’s first time in Paris and how little she had seen of the city. We asked her if there was anything special she wanted to see and she decided it was the Eiffel Tower lit up at night.
So after her final afternoon at Rambert School she came back to freshen up and we caught the metro and went to see it.
Reminiscing l realised it was over thirty years since l had first gone up to the top. Mr P and l had just celebrated our silver wedding anniversary. Then l realised l had only driven past it at night so it was a new experience for me to see it so near in darkness.
Really enjoyed all the hustle and bustle around it.
Metro back to our area then out for dinner.
I’m feeling tired tonight, another big step count day,  it’s back to England tomorrow but a lazy morning first.
Just had the most fabulous soak in the bath and l’mnow curled up in one of those lovely towelling robes.
Intend to look at your journals but might fall asleep…
