High mileage

Youngest, other Mrs.BB & I have popped over to Llandudno for a couple of nights away by the sea. Eldest opted to stay home doing Uni work/relaxing with Shadow/Laptop Cushion (extra). We drove there in the Leaf, stopping to charge just across the border into Wales before carrying on to our hotel which has a very posh name. It isn't very posh but is perfectly serviceable so all good on that front.

The air outside was warm and the stars were all out come the evening as we took a stroll to grab a bite to eat.

Wandering back down the promenade afterwards there was a group of gentlemen staring intently at little remote controls with colour screens. They were Drone Pilots and one of them spent an enthusiastic 10 minutes telling me all about the little green/red dots that could be spotted hovering around out to sea. The drone furthest away was right over the end of the Pier...around half a kilometer away from where we stood and my acquaintance - Wing Commander Drone Pilot Wot-Wot-Wot - showed me the crystal clear video footage being sent back from it. I was mesmerised and it was good to see some of the kit in action used by some of the amazing YouTubers I watch in action. Of course fellow Blipper @RobinDown has first hand experience of this because he owns one too!

Back at the hotel I realised that we had made a dreadful error having left youngest's medication back home. The only saving grace was that we had travelled from Manchester to N.Wales & not Cornwall! Not relishing having to journey home & back with what would be three charge stops I asked if they would mind catching a train home on Saturday - it's actually a nice route along the coast and they agreed - so to save time I drove the Leaf home with lovely Bestie (hands free call) for company along the way and rode back on l'Biscuite.

It was quite a way after the 12 Bongs when I bimbled back into Llandudno but the roads were blissfully quiet and the hotel didn't mind me parking her in the little garden outside. So far the weather for riding back on Saturday is looking pretty fab too :-)
