On my own ...

I haven’t seen either of our woodpeckers for a while, so it was great to see the male this afternoon, on his own, and to capture him just as he had a peanut in his beak.

We have our eldest son and eldest granddaughter coming to stay this evening, so the obligatory lemon cake has been taken out of the freezer, defrosted and then iced in readiness. The pair of them are going to a matinée tomorrow to see Les Misérables – Dad bought the tickets for her 14th birthday, which was a couple of weeks ago. If she’s anything like her father, she will love the musical and already know lots of the songs off by heart by the time the show is over.
