The Old Sewing Biscuit Tin…
.. Plus razor blade. (?).
What old treasures are hidden within. I well remember the old Richmans shop (and the joy of those grey stripy paper bags. I dread to think how old this one is. (It contains old suspenders. New old suspenders I hasten to add!).
Richmans also had those whizzy ‘rockets’ into which the assistants put your payment, and they shot away (overhead?) arriving back shortly with your receipt and change. (There must be a name for that system?).
I was interested to see a (rusty) old version of the very darning tool I saw on social media yesterday. I might see if the rust will polish off…
Because I’m enjoying a sit down I might even try darning :-)
I was on a Zoom course today (trying to keep up professional development) from 8-12.30… A long morning for someone feeling a bit off their perch. And, oo-er, there are another three similar days to go..
I was tempted to bail but, having paid (and not having had to leave the house) on balance it seemed sensible to stay if at all possible. Tomorrow will be harder (with practical exercises) but I hope to feel a bit better and more ‘brain in gear’ by then.
Wine forecast tonight?
Extremely dodgy.
Chip night ditto.
No enthusiasm.
Nevertheless…
Happy Friday One and All :-)
P.S. There are still remnants underneath the tin, of the ‘menu’ of the biscuits once contained within : ‘Cokernut Cream’ was one.
I wonder when that changed to ‘coconut’?
