Croci…

… Himself planted many crocus and daffodils in the lawn *. The last few days (weeks!) have been so wet it’s a quagmire out there. But, I noticed that there are now some tall shoots topped with yellow, so I donned the wellies and went out to take a snap.

Well!

All the yellow bits are nibbled away!
The croci (crocuses?) have fared better.

Who or what eats daffs??

* we call it ‘lawn’, but obviously it’s fundamentally a mossy area interspersed with a few blades of grass.
