Windy (Day 3574)

Off out this morning to a job in Stromness which I thought might take a while to sort out. The tenant had complained to the landlord that the electric shower wasn't working properly. An electrician visited twice and replaced parts in the shower which didn't solve the problem. They suggested that a new shower was required. Another plumber had a look and said that the water pressure was very low. I was asked to go along as a second opinion. The first thing I did when I arrived was turn on the cold tap in the kitchen, which gave a dribble of water. Two guys from Scottish Water showed up while I was there and said there was a big leak underground between the stopcock in the street and the customer's property. A distance of around 100 yards. The Scottish Water guys were able to give a rough location of the leak, but another contractor will need to do the digging and fixing of the leak. It isn't something I do.
I headed back home and, apart from a windy wander with Sigyn at lunchtime, I have done very little. Even so the sciatica is still giving me grief.
Perhaps a curry with my beautiful wife will take my mind off it.
