Painted...

……………………….....…..Lady (I think!)



I caught sight of this butterfly through the window, thinking it was a monarch butterfly enjoying the nectar from these daisies.

On closer inspection I realised it was too small to be a Monarch butterfly, but it didn’t look quite right to be an Admiral butterfly.

Researching the internet it fits the description and photos of a Painted Lady. It’s not a butterfly I have seen fluttering in my garden before.
