Emerging
I always love the moment when slivers of purple emerge from the green blades lining the lower level of our rockery. One day there’s nothing, then suddenly, there are tight buds of purple everywhere. And it’s not only the crocuses, the miniature daffodils are also nearly open.
Meanwhile, in the house order is returning. The walls are now beautifully smooth and plasterers have gone, leaving behind them pristine floors, even mopping before they leave. We still need to wait for skirting boards and of course, it will be some weeks before we can paint and return to complete normality, but it’s certainly far better than it was.
