The Waldorf

Having seen a couple of friends whom I don't see often enough, this week, today I met up with Ian, whom, happily, I do get to see three or four times a year. 

After a run with Wol first thing, I took the train back up to Piccadilly and thence to Salford Crescent. The rain was absolutely hammering down and made it back to the house as quickly as I could. 

Having caught up with the Minx, I took the train back to Piccadilly and then walked down to The Waldorf to meet Ian. It's always such a joy to see him and he was delighted that I saw Dave yesterday, since it was on that same project in Glasgow where I first met Ian.

After a couple of pints at The Waldorf, we walked up to The Bull's Head where we met up with Simon, and then we finished off eating at Nell's. 

It's been a splendid week for meeting up with friends, and, really, just the tonic.
