Haddon’s Court

I wait months without seeing my far flung families and then suddenly they both appear on the same weekend. Having said my goodbyes to the Yorkshire family, I said my  hellos to my Elgin family. Strictly speaking it was son#1 and d-in-l #1 that I haven’t seen for 4 months because I have seen the twins who are now studying at Edinburgh University. They all appeared just as I arrived home from a coffee with a neighbour and my Ivy school friend in the less than salubrious surroundings of the  M&S café.

The Elgin family were down on the hunt for a student flat for Anna & Finlay for next year having shelled out an amazing amount of shekels for their stay in halls of residence this year.
I live in the middle of the popular student area and I have to say it was looking its best this morning with blue skies and abundant sunshine. It may be that I see them later this evening but in any case the twins are coming with me to feast on  Pizzas on Tuesday.

I took some books along to the little library box at the communal gardens in the Meadows and carried on walking to Tesco in Nicolson Street. Just beside the shop is Haddon’s Court and this is a blip of the disconnected view you get through it from the busy main street.  Any other blip of the dying tulips, perhaps,  can only improve with having to wait.
