Thomson Torches

A beautiful sunny day, but that cold wind has been blowing.  Clear, windy and cold tonight. 

Up early, got packed and headed to the ferries for Unst.  Settled in, popped along the shops, then mam, dad, Laura and Megan came along.  We headed out to Muness Castle, then a walk at Lund.  Had tea, washed and ready for a night of partying.  

The Norik (Norwick) Up Helly Aa has arrived again, and thankfully not too bad a day for it.  The Jarl Squad have been around the island, then the main procession this evening.  Sister Julie is in a squad, and Ingram in the Jarl Squad, also my two unst nieces, Lottie and Anna.  Now heading to the Haroldswick hall for the acts, dancing and party.  Lottie (R) and Anna (L) with their torches, on the Norik beach, Unst.
