Shaun's 50th Birthday

The gale continues to blow, approaching 70mph, maybe more.  Dry in the morning, rain started after morning break.  A few dry spells, but mostly wet.  Winds easing tonight.

A day working with Cliffy again, we've been on the mini essykert.  Business paper recycling waste around Lerwick before break.  The rest of the day was glass recycling, around town, Scalloway Hamnavoe, Brae and Voe.  We had planned a trip to Unst for the weekend, but cancelled tonight with the weather, try again tomorrow.  Nipped down to Laura's this evening.  Walkies when it dried up, then might try a pint later.

 Brother in law, Shaun, celebrates his 50th birthday today.  Laura had a house full of our family, along with his mam and dad.  Shaun's mam baked the cake, Laura popped some sparklers on top and we all had tea.  Shaun got to open his presents too.  Laura and Shaun at home, in the Blett Road, Cunningsburgh.
