Today - in the sea

It was just me and L, plus a few people on the beach, on a fine early spring day, with crispy water, very little wind (zero actually), and almost no waves to speak of. It was a fine 15 minute swim with huge skies and fluffy clouds above, and the sun sinking in the west. I added a few extras.

Earlier I did quite a long peloton workout and tried, but failed, to do some pottering around the garden. It seems pointless to remove weeds when we away for the next month, as they will simply come back....I'll get stuck in to this task in March when the weather is a little warmer. However, as Mr A had removed the fleece from the beds at the back, I did remove a few extremely large dandelion roots before they had a chance to flower.

When I got back from the afternoon swim, I realised I was not quite right... I struggled to get warm again, although the sitting room was positively tropical, and I had my long furry hot water bottle across my legs. When I did get warm, the aches and pains continued, so I must reluctantly concede I have a variation of the bug which Mr A has been experiencing, and which he is largely over. After N had called around to pick up the craft beer we have brought up from Edinburgh, I beat a rapid retreat to bed. Lying down - and lying still - definitely helped.
