Life and death

The old snail shells, derelict remains which will eventually give calcium back to the soil, next to the tiny sorrel leaves that are delicious in a salad, or if left to grow make wonderful soup!

The sorrel originates from my  Tante  Madeleine ‘s garden in Brittany.  It has grown in each of our gardens.  Whenever we moved it and some Bay would be in the removal van. My aunt had two huge Bay trees and one year I brought home a seedling.  Delicious in all sorts of cooking.

I seem to have reached another milestone. 4015 entries !  Eleven years without any leap years.  Derelict seems quite appropriate ;-0)

Thank you to all those who run blip and all those who are my blip friends! Xxxx
