Five little berries ...

… sitting in a row,
placed by happy granddaughters,
always on the go.


For the second day running Granny and Grandpa’s house has been ringing with the sound of laughter and fun. Our daughter-in-law has a birthday on Tuesday, so we had a family lunch today in her honour. 

The highlight of the day, as far as Granny was concerned, was seeing the amazed look on the girls’ faces when she proceeded to demonstrate that she, too, could bend over like they were doing, and touch her toes, without bending her knees. "How can you do that?" they asked, clearly seeing me as decrepit and past it. 

"Granny does a few Pilates roll downs every morning before she gets in the shower" was the reply. 

I think Granny has gone up in their estimation …
