Damp, but delightful

Although we didn’t hear any rain last night, it was apparent that we’d had quite a deluge from the look of the garden this morning. There were puddles all over the flower beds, and the water butt was overflowing.

And suddenly, without me noticing over our busy weekend, the clumps of tête à têtes in the front lawn came into flower. Last time I looked they were in tight bud, but the warmth of the last couple of days has really brought them on.
