It’s Going to be a Good Week

The congestion has lessened. I’m not as achy or tired, I am definitely getting better. But I wanted to make sure I wasn’t overlooking something and to satisfy my sister and Kim, so hubby gave me the new 3-way flu A/B/COVID test. It is 100% negative. Now I can plan to go with my sister on Wednesday to take our mother to lunch. Maybe being under the weather saved me from making hard choices this weekend. Hubby likes to go to 5:00 Mass and Lauren scheduled Isla’s birthday cake event at the same time. My niece’s shower was at 11:00 am today, Brooklyn played her last regular season game at 1:00. Neither of those events needed a hacking, sneezing old woman spreading germs, making a choice unnecessary. I was able to go to both appointments last week before it peaked and by Tuesday, I should be fine to get my blood tests. Perfect timing. Hubby went to Brooklyn’s game. Her team lost 44-26; she fouled out early in the third quarter (some foul calls questionable) when we were behind by only 1 point. Hubby said the team simply gave up. They depend on Brooklyn too much. She’s moving to high school next season so they need to choose a new leader. I still have hardly any appetite. We’ll have a light dinner. Next week, I’ll plan some special meals for hubby until Thursday - colonoscopy prep day for Friday’s procedure. I think we expect nice weather next week so things are looking up. Wishing you sunshine and smiles all week. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “You're going to go through tough times - that's life. But I say, 'Nothing happens to you, it happens for you.' See the positive in negative events.” — Joel Osteen
