Blue jays
The blue jays have been showing up earlier in the mornings, before I fill the feeder. This morning I opened the window and tossed a couple of handfuls of peanuts onto the deck. This one rewarded me by posing nicely.
A bigger crowd at brunch today, 21 people. One of our regulars has not been there since mid-November, he had surgery with a long recovery period. He was back today. Another one of our regulars went to visit her daughter in Ottawa for Christmas, while she was there she fell and ended up in the hospital for a couple of days, then she developed bronchitis after she came home in January, so today was her first day back. A few others that come out occasionally were there too.
One that comes occasionally asked if she could travel with me today. She has been having problems with her eyes and is not comfortable driving right now. I picked her up, then after brunch we stopped at the gallery with the club photo exhibit is being held. The woman working at the gallery asked how we found out about the show and I told her that I was a member of the Dartmouth Photo Society. She asked me if I had entered a photo, and I told her yes, then showed her which one belonged to me.
We took the scenic route home, after I dropped Karen off, I stopped to get some groceries, then came home. A much needed day to relax.
Four more days of work.
