I failed with yesterday’s screen free challenge. 1½ hrs of television and a quick look at Blip late in the evening, but I’m happy with my ability not to touch my phone or iPad for 5 hours.

The night was wet. It’s not often I hear the rain when I’m in bed. I tackled a pile of ironing in the morning, had a late cooked breakfast then set off for a walk. I aimed to get higher than I’ve been for many months so set off up the Loughrigg path. I reached the highest point before the path drops down towards Skelwith Bridge . . . . that’s a long way off the summit of the fell.

Walking up I heard the sound of horses hooves behind me. I stepped off the path and as the riders approached asked if I could take a photo. I got a closer one too but preferred this.
