The Big Swing

The sunny days seem to have ended but there's still plenty of energy for playing outdoors. The sledging run in the big field seemed to be working very well and with a little digging and construction (extra) the sledgers sometimes made it round the corner, rather than crashing into the small trees.
The swing outside The Red House came into play again with both children having to go. This swing is around 30-years-old, though the various parts, especially the ropes have been replaced several times. I swing on it myself first, figuring that if it holds me then the children are safe. Because the ground slopes away, at the high point you are about 4 metres up in the air, and looking over the kayak tent. Very exciting for both adults and small people!
